Prayer requests and updates:
Sickness has been a big part of our home for the last month. Many of the kids have been suffering from various sickness and I have also been struggling for the last few weeks.
One of our kids was hit by a motorbike and has a torn meniscus and several sprains to her knee.
Personal request: I have had malaria a few times and now I have been diagnosed with Sepsis due to malaria. On Sunday, I was in really bad shape. I had been going to a hospital in town that ended up being dishonest and exploiting us for money. So I went to a new hospital run by some new friends I made from New Zealand. They got me right in and realized what was going on. I have had 2 days of IV antibiotic treatment. Tomorrow is my final day of treatment and I’m thankful to be feeling even better then yesterday and hopeful that when I get my final dose of iv treatment tomorrow I’ll be fully better.
Updates: All of this to say…..we have been making big progress around here despite being sick.
The wall should be finishing up this week. Our incinerator is being built and our kids are getting better nutrition with our new menu!
Our playground fundraiser has begun and we hope to begin building by December 1st! There is a picture of a small layout that I’m working on for our playground…I’m no architect but I am trying!
One last thing that we have in the works is flying a few things (playground equipment, personal needs, etc.) here by a shipping company called Kentex. We can order things from Amazon or other online stores and have them shipped to the company and they will fly them to Kenya! The cost is about $15 for every 2 pounds. I am putting together a list and hopefully will have it out to everyone soon. If you would like to give towards the shipping costs please message me! Or be on the lookout for our shopping list!
I’m so thankful for your prayers and support as we are going into a new season and seeing such exciting progress
The wall is looking good! I hope you're feeling better!
So happy to be even a little part of all of this.
Continued prayers and hugs
